Commonwealth Shared Scholarship Scheme

Applications for Commonwealth Shared Scholarships for the 2024/25 academic year are now closed.

The scholarships awarded under this scheme are jointly funded by the UK Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO), as part of the United Kingdom International Development programme for developing countries, and participating institutions in the UK.

There will be six awards available for 2024/25, split between the following one-year, full-time, campus-based Masters courses:

Eligibility and selection criteria

To be eligible for the scholarship you must be a permanent resident of a developing Commonwealth country, as defined on the Commonwealth Shared Scholarship Scheme website.

Candidates are normally expected to hold a BSc or BA degree at either first class or upper second-class level. Candidates are expected to be fluent in written and oral English. Candidates who have already studied for one year or more in a developed country or who possess sufficient resources to self-fund are not eligible for a scholarship.
